Surveillance - Des ballons de volley géants, clés de la surveillance ? - Giants Volleyballs, the key to spying ?...

AeroSphere Airships
Cyber Aerospace 07/04

"...The DoD has expressed significant interest in utilizing the airships of CYBER AEROSPACE to enhance the U.S. forces surveillance operations. U.S. forces are already capable of real-time, limited surveillance of movements in populated areas. But, the robust persistent physical surveillance of areas can be supplemented by a systematic recording the "who or what was in the area when a problem occurred"..."

"...The use of AIRSHIPS to provide high altitude surveillance is not a new concept. Balloons have been used in the past by battlefield commanders to get a "big picture" perspective. The AIRSHIP brings a new potential to the field and integrates cutting edge communications with mobile platform stability. This new role will be instrumental in the war on terror. In addition, the physical design will allow our system to remain airborne in a set location longer than previously possible.

CYBER AEROSPACE plans on pursuing several markets in the U.S. and abroad:

- Homeland Defense - State and local governments could use the AIRSHIP for emergency telephone and broadband recovery, as well as surveillance in border areas and harbors.

- Federal surveillance - DEA/Customs can use it to stem the influx of drugs into the U.S.

- New airborne platforms - for the FAA, Coast Guard and others

- DoD - could vastly expand the existing communications technologies, especially in times of conflict in Iraq and Afghanistan.

- Third world countries - the AIRSHIP could provide them with technologies, which should immediately leapfrog them into this century.

- Broadband and cell providers - the AIRSHIP facilitates reaching the remote regions of any country.

In order to fully capitalize on this technology, Cyber Aerospace is working very closely with The Georgia Tech Research Institute, a respected leader in UAV, robotics and airship research technologies. GTRI has provided initial research and design criteria that will be used on TSI's first airship..."
